Butler & Messier Insurance Makes Donation Ahead of the Holidays
David White, Bruce and Roger Messier of Butler & Messier Insurance presented James R. Hoyt Jr., CEO of the Boys & Girls Club of Pawtucket, and Club staff members with a $2,000 donation as part of the insurance agency’s Casual for a Cause campaign.
PAWTUCKET, R.I. (Dec. 3, 2019) — Ahead of the holiday season, Butler & Messier Insurance (BMI) made a $2,000 donation to the Boys & Girls Club of Pawtucket. The donation reflects the insurance agency’s commitment to supporting the community through charitable giving.
“The Boys & Girls Club of Pawtucket has been an anchor in the community for over 100 years. Through its innovative programs and caring staff, the Boys & Girls Club has played an important role in ensuring all children become productive, responsible, and caring citizens,” said Roger L. Messier, President of Butler & Messier Insurance. “We hope our contribution will help expand the Boys & Girls Club’s programs and services to children with financial need.”
Staff members from Butler & Messier Insurance contributed to the donation through the agency’s Casual for a Cause campaign, which is a quarterly initiative to help local non-profits. To participate in the campaign, employees donate $5 to dress casually on Fridays and the agency matches those contributions. Over the course of 2019, the agency has donated nearly $10,000 to non-profit organizations in Rhode Island.

The Boys & Girls Club, located at One Moeller Place, offers programs and services for adolescents and teens in Pawtucket. Through the Boys & Girls Club, kids gain access to activities, classes, and games that are designed to promote learning and inspire youth to realize their full potential.
